Martin Myers
Director
I have worked in the architectural field since 1997. As an Architectural Technologist my background is in the technical aspects of the process however, I have been fortunate to work with some talented people and been given the opportunity to develop all aspects of delivering high quality designs through to a completion. During this time I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience across various sectors but found my way back to domestic practice. There’s something really inspiring about working with homeowners to produce quality design solutions that can change the way they live in the property.
I enjoy family life with my wife and son. We have an active life and enjoy spending time outside and by the sea.
Outside of work I am keen scratch golfer having rediscovered the sport in my 40’s after 15 years away from the sport. During that time I completed the marathon des sables, cycled from London to Glasgow in 5 days, completed a charity skydive and climbed a few Munros. For a period of time I was a FIFA match agent running football tours to places like Gambia and Mongolia working with football associations to promote FIFA backed campaigns such as Live your Goals promoting women’s football. I was a keen advocate of futsal and chaired the Scottish Futsal League (for the SFA) and found myself assisting a team in the UEFA futsal champions league.

Beth Fraser
Senior Architect
I have been a qualified architect since 2011 and have a wealth of experience working on domestic projects both large and small in the Edinburgh area. I have a keen eye on attention to detail and maximising the most potential from your home. I joined KPA in 2023 and look forward to continuing the award winning standards of the Glasgow office in Edinburgh.
Outside of the office environment I enjoy going for early swims and walking with my husband and office dog Breagh in the local hills or exploring further afield in our TentBox. My husband and I are keen long distance walkers also, having completed the West Highland Way in 2021 and more recently a charity walk ‘Follow the Seagulls’ along the Fife Coast in April 2023 raising money for the Braintrust brain tumour charity. 50 miles, two days, on foot. Which is where we met Ed, Karen Parry’s husband.

Shelley Crawford
Architect
I am a qualified architect with over 5 years experience of working in the residential sector. Since joining KPA in 2018 I have developed a love for domestic architecture and exploring new ideas with the team to provide residential spaces people can enjoy. I am keen to share my passion for modern architecture found through travelling the world and using this to help our clients create their dream spaces. I enjoy working with home-owners and the challenges involved in working with something as personal as the home.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my partner and son, exploring the outside, swimming and often finding myself spending hours of the day at softplay!

I have a keen interest in sustainability and retrofitting existing buildings. I joined KPA in 2025 and look forward to continue to work with people to improve their homes.

Ryan Kelly
Part 2
I am an RIBA Part 2 qualified architectural assistant with over 4 years of experience working on a wide range of domestic and commercial projects across the west of Scotland. I am interested in working with historic and listed buildings developing thoughtful proposals with a focus on sustainability. I also enjoy working closely with clients to provide a unique, contemporary approach to the design of new builds and extensions that complements and improves the surrounding environment. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in using the latest 3D software to allow clients to visualise our designs through realistic renderings and videos. Since joining KPA in 2026 I hope to continue to develop my skills whilst working towards gaining my chartership.
In my spare time, I like to travel and enjoy visiting amusement parks around the world. I also enjoy composing music and creating content for my YouTube channel.

I love chasing balls and splashing around in water.

Karen Parry
Founder
Karen set up the practice in 2005 to focus on her love of domestic architecture. As the business grew it became a collective of creative individuals with a shared passion for finding the best possible solution for each client’s home within constraints of space and budget. Karen very sadly passed away in 2020 but the practice continues in her name as a legacy to her commitment to making the most of your home by unlocking its potential.
